Holiday fundraisers

December has been a busy month for Team Dearborn! The pub crawl was AMAZING- thanks to all who came out, bought raffle tickets and put up with our antics! HUGE thanks go to our host venues- Buffalo Wild Wings, Biergarten, Post Bar, Bailey's and Double Olive. The owners, other patrons and especially the staff were all awesome and super supportive. This is something we'd like to see grow into a major event in Dearborn, so we're incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped us along the way and put their faith in our Little Team That Could.

As for other fundraisers, we've been busy with a couple of things this month. We've already had a couple of gift wrapping dates at Barnes & Noble (in Allen Park MI, on the hill), and we've got a couple more coming up. If you're not familiar, B&N has local groups volunteer time to do free gift wrapping during December. Donations are optional, but very much appreciated. So if you're out shopping this month at B&N, keep your eyes peeled for that- it's a great idea, especially if wrapping presents isn't your favorite thing. Team Dearborn has two more dates coming up:

Thursday, December 15 (that's tomorrow!) from roughly noon (depending on availability of team members) until 8 PM, and Wednesday, December 21 from 4 PM to 10 PM.

We've had a lot of fun doing this, and we've got some excellent wrappers on our team- come say hi if you're in the area!

Also coming up, we've got a holiday craft sale at Kmart in Livonia (Farmington and 7-Mile) this weekend! December 17-18, 9:30 AM until 5:30 PM. We've got candy trees, holiday crafts, maybe some baked goods if you're lucky, and plenty of free information on the Relay for Life and American Cancer Society. Again, come say hi- we love having company (and meeting new people)!

Ugly Up the Avenue- more information!

Tomorrow's the day! We've been working really hard on this event, and we're very excited about it! First, here are the rest of the specials:

Post Bar- $3 domestics, $3 shots (among them, flavored bombs and washington apples. Ask your bartender/server for more options!), and $4 well drinks.

Double Olive- $2 domestic bottles, $3 flavored bombs, and $4 well drinks.

Rumor also has it that there might be some snacks awaiting Team Dearborn at Double Olive at 1 AM. You'll have to stick with us to find out!

Our contact at Budweiser donated some great items, including a mirrored Red Wings picture that we'll be raffling off! Tickets will be $1 each or 6 for $5. We've also got some Bud goodie bags that we'll be giving away randomly to participants- one at each bar! Huge thanks to Scott for the hookup! Check out the pictures below:

The ugly Christmas sweater contest will be judged at the Post Bar at roughly 11:30 (by a panel of independent experts!)! We'll be drawing the raffle winner shortly thereafter (at roughly midnight), and we WILL be calling the winner that night. Ideally, we'd like to give the prize away that night. You don't have to be present to win, though- just willing to answer your phone at midnight!

We've also got some other random Bud swag that will be showing up throughout the night. :D
